According to reports, Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Ivory Coast International Franck Kessie.
The 19-year-old has netted four goals in his last five games and has four caps with Ivory Coast.
His impressive form, which has pundits comparing the young star with Manchester City’s Yaya Toure, has put the Gunners, Chelsea and Juventus on high alert.
Goal reported that Arsenal had sent scouts to monitor Kessie during Atlanta’s 1-0 defeat to Palermo on Wednesday, while it is also reported that Antonio Conte is also keen.
“They [Arsenal] were here in Italy to watch him”, Kessie’s agent said.
“Arsenal are a good team but there are a lot of teams interested in him so they’re not the only possible destination.”
Kessie also admitted that the Premier League appeals to him – and Manchester United would be his preferred club of choice.
“Future? I like the league in England, but first I must learn the Italian tactics to one day hopefully land at Manchester United,” he told Italian publication Gianluca Di Marzio.
“Who knows if it’ll still be Mourinho’s team, but I’ve always been fond of that club.”
