The 18 year-old made his full senior debut last season and has already featured in the Primeira Liga this season.
The forward has attracted attention from a number of European clubs after impressing for the Benfica reserves.
Arsenal and Liverpool in particular are believed to be monitoring the teenager closely, with the knowledge that his contract at the Estadio da Luz expires at the end of the season.
However the Portuguese champions are hopeful that Guedes will sign a new deal with the club.
But the attention of the two English giants could lure him to England, though the player dubbed “the new Ronaldo” has a buyout clause of £40m.
