Both the clubs are looking to reinforce their squad

Mario Lemina joined Southampton from Juventus for a club record fee of £15.4 million, on a five year deal last summer. He has scored one goal and assisted one in 29 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Though the 24 year old performed decently in his debut season, the club has struggled very much this season and somehow managed to retain the Premier League status in the end. They finished the Premier League campaign fourth from bottom.

Despite joining the club just one year ago, the Gabonese International is already being linked with Premier League giants ahead of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal and Tottenham are just two of the teams interested in signing the midfielder this summer, according to Footmercato.

Mousa Dembele could leave Spurs this summer as both of them yet to agree on a new terms and the club would like to cash in on the player if he decides to leave. Mauricio Pochettino is a big admirer of Lemina and wants him to replace the Belgian International.

Arsenal are also interested in the former Juventus star and they have been linked with him previously too. Granit Xhaka has failed to impress this season, attracting heavy criticism and Jack Wilshere’s future is still uncertain and could leave on a free transfer. The Gunners could move for Lemina in order to strengthen their midfield this summer.

Everton and West Ham United are also keeping tabs on the Southampton ace.
