Arsenal have announced a new kit deal with Adidas which is expected to rake in the tune of £60m per year. The new deal will come into effect from next season.
The Gunners have been flying in the Premier League winning their last six games in the top flight. Their current kit sponsorship deal with Puma stands at £30m a year so they are going to earn a substantial profit in this new deal.
The new contract will set them at par with Chelsea who also nets the same amount with their partnership with Nike. The London giants signed a whopping 15 year long deal in 2017 and are set to pocket close to £900m should this deal go through.
It’s been more than two decades since Arsenal players wore an Adidas shirt. Unai Emery’s side is on the last year of the £150m deal and will switch to the German manufacturer once next season starts.
Also, the new shirt deal with Emirates will kick start from next season and should they clinch a place in the top four it would swell their club coffers in a bid to cope up with the spending and incomes of the top flight.
