The midfielder is about to enter the final year of his contract
Aaron Ramsey joined Arsenal from Cardiff for £4.8 million in 2008 and has been a mainstay in the team. He has scored 58 goals in 327 appearances for the club in all competitions.
The midfielder has won three FA Cups with the Gunners, scoring the winning goal in the 2014 and 2017 finals. He has been a regular for the club this term, scoring 12 goals and assisting 9 in 36 appearances in all competitions.
But the Welsh midfielder is about to enter the final year of his contract and has yet to commit himself to a long term agreement. Talks have been going on with his representative’s for the past few months but there has been no progress.
The 27 year old has been linked with Chelsea, Juventus and Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window. He is aware of the interest and is not going to sell himself short.
The Wales International has seen the details of the huge contracts signed by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil in recent months. He also wants a increase in his current wages which would place him among the club’s top earners.
Arsenal are ready to sell Aaron Ramsey if he doesn’t agree to a new contract before next season, reports The Sun. The club are determined not to allow themselves to be held to ransom again after the way they were given the run-around by Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
The Premier League wants to cash in on the player if the player doesn’t sign a new contract and will demand atleast £40 million for him from his potential suitors this summer.
