according to reports, Arsenal’s reported plight to sign AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca could ruin Chelsea’s hopes of landing their own target this summer.

Bacca, having only spent one season at the Italian giants, has been a major target for the Gunners over the course of the campaign, and could see him land a deal at the Emirates very soon.

Thinking realistically, Milan would have to consider selling Bacca if they did not land Champions League football for next season.

And Italian newspaper Tuttosport claim selling Bacca would force Milan into the transfer market, where they will upset Chelsea’s own plans- as according to the claims, Milan will push for Blues target Simone Zaza as soon as Bacca is sold.

Zaza, 24, is tipped to leave Juventus this summer after failing to lock down a regular first team spot under manager Massimiliano Allegri. This has prompted Chelsea’s interest, as they are lining up a £24million bid for the player.

But Milan could match any offer Chelsea make with the funds raised by Bacca’s sale, which immediately puts a spanner in the works for the London club.

Italian news outlet Tuttosport claim the San Siro club could earn £28m from the Arsenal transfer, although the Gunners themselves are facing competition from German giants Bayern Munich for 29-year-old Bacca.
