Arsenal are edging closer to a deal for Olympiakos centre-back Kostas Manolas, with reports suggesting he is set to complete a medical in London ahead of a proposed £6million move.
The Greek international has been told by his club that he can move on this Summer, as long as an acceptable offer comes in for him, and it’s Arsenal who are in pole position to sign him, despite interest shown by Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
The Gunners are confident that a £6m bid will be enough for Manolas, who is seen as a Thomas Vermaelen replacement, and the 23-year-old is now ready to undergo a medical ahead of the switch to England.
Manolas, who represented Greece at the World Cup this Summer, is reportedly in England and will now complete the medical for Arsenal, before holding personal talks with the club to finalise the deal.
