Gunners showing interest in Aubameyang

Arsenal have entered the race to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.

The Metro are reporting that the North-London club are in the process of offering around £28.7m for the 25-year-old.

Arsene Wenger is keen to add to his attacking depth this summer, having missed out on the signings of Jackson Martinez and Mario Mandzukic.

Aubameyang, who is a Gabon international – appears to now be at the top of Wenger‘s transfer priorities, as the Gunners look to build a squad capable of mounting a title-challenge next term.

Aubameyang in-demand

The striker, who was Dortmund‘s top scorer last term – has also been a transfer target for Arsenal‘s Premier League rivals, Liverpool.

However, should Arsenal wish to get their man, they will have to stump up the cash, as the player still has three-years remaining on his current contract at the Bundesliga outfit.

Arsenal have been linked with Aubameyang’s team-mates, Sven Bender and defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos, who are both set to spark a mass exodus at Dortmund, following Jurgen Klopp‘s departure.
