Gunners latest club to be linked with FC Porto starlet

Arsenal have entered the race to sign FC Porto midfielder Ruben Neves, alongside Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea.

The teenager became the youngest ever captain in Champions League history during Porto‘s midweek game, and was being watched by a team of Liverpool scouts.

However, according to reports, Arsenal are also keeping tabs on the Portuguese starlet and could make a formal move in January.

It’s believed Porto have a valuation of the teenager of around ÂŁ29million, a fee which Jurgen Klopp is ready to meet after instructing the Liverpool board to get the deal done before rivals swoop in.

Premier League Interest

According to TalkSPORT, Arsenal have been scouting Neves in recent weeks as well and could aim to beat Liverpool and Chelsea in January with a formal bid.

The Gunners are in the market for new central cover in the midfield, with both Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini ageing, leaving all first-team responsibilities down to Francis Coquelin.
