Gunners want Bayern Munich manager to replace Arsene Wenger

Arsenal have found their ideal replacement for Arsene Wenger once he retires from management, and it’s Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola.

The Gunners want the Spaniard to take over the reigns at the Emirates Stadium for the 2018/2019 season, despite talks of a new contract being offered to Wenger.

If Arsenal do approach the 44-year-old for the role ahead of that season, it means Wenger has just two full seasons left in him in North London.

Pep Wanted in England

Guardiola is set to be subject of a massive managerial tug-of-war, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City all keen to appoint him as their next boss.

The former-Barcelona manager has just a few months left on his deal at Bayern Munich, but he could extend his Allianz Arena stay for a couple more years before heading to England.

Most pundits in football expect to see Guardiola in the Premier League at one point, but they don’t know at what club.
