Gunners could make £14million bid in January
Arsenal are plotting a formal bid for Anderlecht star Youri Tielemans.
The Gunners have been admirers of the teenager for over a year now, with reports last year suggesting they could launch a formal move for his services.
However, nothing formal came of the reported interest, but this morning’s papers are claiming that they could renew their interest in the New Year and make a £14million bid for the Belgian.
Interest is High
The 18-year-old has been impressing for Anderlecht and has even caught the eye of Premier League champions Chelsea and La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
Despite the teenager putting pen to paper on a new and improved five-year deal in Belgium, Arsenal are still confident they can lure the midfielder to the Emirates Stadium.
According to reports, Anderlecht officials want around £14.4m for the 18-year-old, with that price-tag putting some interested parties off.
Tielemans netted six goals for his club last season and has represented his country at youth level.
