Arsenal have moved one setp closer to signging Edinson Cavani, with PSG in advanced talks to sign Angel DI Maria as his replacement. The Gunners’ interest in the striker was revealed earlier this week, when Arsene Wenger was believed to be considering a bid for the Uruguay man.
PSG are willing to let him leave but only if they can sign Di Maria to replace him. Sources are now claiming a deal to take the Argentina man to Paris is now close and therefore the Ligue 1 champions would be happy to let Cavani leave.
The forward would become Arsenal’s most expensive signing ever, with PSG slapping a HUGE £51m asking price on his head. If he was to sign, he would link up with Alexis Sanchez, who is another new Gunners signing.
Liverpool and Man United have also previously been linked with a move for Cavani.
