Arsenal goalkeeper bid rejected!

Arsenal have had a £6million bid rejected by Championship side Cardiff City for their number-one David Marshall.

The Scottish international was one of few positives from last season’s campaign in the Premier League for The Bluebirds, and his impressive performances throughout the season has sparked severe interest from top-flight teams, including The Gunners.

Arsene Wenger has highlighted a new goalkeeper as one of his main priorities, and with Marshall on the list alongside; John Ruddy, Asmir Begovic, Iker Casillas and David Ospina, it’s the Scot that received the first formal offer.

Wenger is trying to find a suitable replacement for Lukasz Fabianski, who left on a free to join Swansea City, and he is keen to buy someone who could provide real competition for the number-one shirt alongside Wojciech Szczesny.

It’s believed Cardiff want at least double what Arsenal are currently offering however.
