Arsenal goalkeeper wants ‘perfect week’

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has admitted that he is hoping for a perfect week ahead of the clash against Manchester United on Sunday.

The Gunners have already beaten Liverpool 2-0 in the Premier League and Borussia Dortmund 1-0 in the Champions League and their Polish shot-stopper is hoping that they can get all three points at Old Trafford to round off ‘the perfect week’.

The win in the league has put Arsenal five points clear at the top and then their Champions League victory has put them in control of ‘The Group of Death’ and Szczesny believes there is no reason for them to doubt their chances come Sunday.

“We are looking forward to Sunday now and we will be trying to make it a perfect week for us,” Szczesny said.

“We have got two clean sheets and two results against quality opposition, one away from home at one of the toughest venues in Europe.

“It would be amazing to get nine points from these three games, when probably not a lot of people expected us to do.

“There is not a better time for us to go to Old Trafford.

“We are very confident and enjoying our football, so we are looking forward to it.”
