Arsenal interested in Brazilian wonderkid
According to reports in the Sun, Arsenal are interested in roping in Brazilian youngster Maycon to boost their midfield options.
The 20-year-old, who currently plays for Corinthians, has been on the radar of Arsene Wenger for a while now.
Arsenal is not alone in the competition, with Serie A side Napoli also on the lookout to fix a potential deal for the Brazilian.
It is being said that Corinthians will be asking around £9m for Maycon, but are also likely to demand him to sent back on loan.
“Arsenal are very interested in Maycon. He has been watched a fair amount for more than a year. They have been impressed and he has a promising future. He is not really a player for now”, a source close to Arsenal told the publication.
“There could be issues with getting him a visa. It would take a lot of work behind the scenes to get sorted. Arsenal have other priorities, so it could be one that happens in the summer, rather than now”, the source added.
