Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is considering offering Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel a contract after his current deal with The Foxes expires in the Summer.

The impressive shot-stopper, who is the son of former goalkeeper Peter, has helped guide Nigel Pearson’s side to the Premier League for next season, but could be tempted by offers from Arsenal, as well as Southampton and even AC Milan.

With his contract expiring in just a few months time, clubs are now allowed to get into contact with him and offer him a potential deal, and according to reports, all three clubs previously mentioned have done just that.

The 27-year-old would be seen as perfect back-up for Wenger as he is set to lose Lukasz Fabianski due to not playing regularly enough, and Schemichel could be the man to take his place and challenge current number-one, Wojciech Szczesny.

The lure of Champions League football next season could be enough to see the Danish shot-stopper reject Milan and Southampton in favour for The Gunners, but with Leicester now promoted to the Premier League, he may change his mind on the contract and decide to stay at the KP Stadium.
