Arsenal are currently leading the race to sign the Chelsea star in the winter transfer window.
Apart from Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona were also interested in the player. But according to reports, the Gunners are leading the race. It was also reported that Juventus were also interested in the Brazilian.
It is believed that Barcelona also submitted their first offer for Chelsea’s centre-back David Luiz a couple of days ago. However, Arsenal lead the race and would like to sign up the out-of-favour David Luiz.
The Brazilian has fallen out with Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte after the defeat to Roma in the Champions League. The defender then picked up a knee injury and is yet to feature for the Blues since October.
The Gunners captain, Per Mertesacker will retire at the end of this season and Laurent Koscielny has been regularly facing an Achilles injury.
Arsene Wenger has concerns over his defence and is ready to get the 30-year old David Luiz to the Emirates to strengthen his squad.
However, it is yet to be seen whether the Blues would want to do business once again with the Gunners since the transfer of Petr Cech.
