Chelsea’s Kenedy joined Newcastle on loan in January after not finding himself on Antonio Conte’s first-team plans at Stamford Bridge, and his impressive form has put him on the radar of several of Europe’s biggest clubs. He has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in 8 Premier league appearances for Rafa Benitez’s team.
The Brazilian wants to leave Chelsea if Antonio Conte remains at the charge for the next season. But that looks highly unlikely, as the Italian is expected to part ways with the club at the end of the season.
But the Blues are on the verge of the missing Champions League next season and will be highly active in the summer transfer window. The imminent Chelsea rebuild will be partly funded by player sales and Kenedy is a prime candidate to be offloaded if a significant market develops for him.
The arrival of Emerson Palmeiri in January has already pushed the 22 year old down the pecking order and he is already planning to make a decision about his future this summer.
Arsenal are interested in signing Kenedy if the Brazilian is allowed to leave Chelsea on a permanent basis in the summer, claims ESPN. Arsene Wenger has been impressed by him during his loan spell at Newcastle United. Bayern Munich and PSG are also interested in him.
No formal offers have yet been made but the 22-year-old’s suitors have asked to be kept informed of his situation ahead of what is set to be a summer of significant change for Chelsea.
