Borussia Dortmund star wanted by Gunners

Arsenal are showing interest in Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and could launch a whopping £30million bid over the Summer.

Dortmund have recently been rocked with the news that Jurgen Klopp won’t be manager come next season after he made the decision to quit the club following a dismal season in the Bundesliga.

Klopp’s men currently sit tenth in the table and cannot qualify for next year’s Champions League due to not enough points being available.

The German giants announced the news yesterday lunchtime and it’s now believed that an exodus of players may follow Klopp out the door over the Summer.

Mats Hummels, Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan are three main stars that could be quitting the club, but it’s Aubameyang that Arsene Wenger has his eye on.

The pacy attacker, who can play as a lone striker and also as a winger, has caught the eye of the Frenchman who is keen on to add more new faces to his squad this Summer with £50m expected to be at his disposal.

Theo Walcott Replacement?

According to Sky Sports, the 25-year-old is on Wenger’s radar and could be seen as a potential replacement for Theo Walcott.

The England international is currently in contract talks with the North London club but as it stands the two parties cannot agree on a weekly wage for the winger.

If Arsenal do choose to sell Walcott, Aubameyang could be seen as the ideal replacement.

The Gabonese international has scored 17 goals in 37 matches this season, including a goal against Arsenal in this year’s Champions League group stages.
