Arsenal will use Sunday’s World Cup clash between Switzerland and Ecuador as an opportunity to analyse right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner.
Arsenals are currently out looking for a new right-back after Bacary Sagna’s transfer to Manchester City was confirmed yesterday. According to some experts, Lichtsteiner is the ‘perfect’ fit for Arsenal’s plans and Wenger seems to be impressed.
The Swiss has only got one year left on his contract at Juventus so a transfer would cost The Gunners around £9 million.
