Arsenal legend Ray Parlour believes Arsenal re-signing would be Cesc Fabregas this summer would be a big mistake by the club. The former gunners player is concerned that manager Arsene Wenger will spend a lot of his money on an area that Arsenal already excel in.
Fabregas was admired by the Arsenal fans during his first spell with the North London club when he helped the gunners win the FA Cup back in 2005 and reach the final of the Champions League the next year.
Fabregas was regularly linked back to his boyhood club Barcelona and finally made the move after Arsenal accepted a bid rumoured to be around £30 million back in 2011. However his return to the New Camp wasn’t as expected and after a season that finished trophyless for the Spanish Giants, the midfielder has been under fire by a number of fans. “The problem with Fabregas is where do you put him in the team?
“They have got very similar players to Fabregas – they have Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere – if you bring Fabregas back where do you fit him in?
“He was great for the club but forwards should be much more of a priority.
“You look at Manchester City and Liverpool and they have much better forwards.”
