Arsenal linked to £31 million striker

Premier League side Arsenal are being linked with a move for Palermo frontman Paulo Dybala this January, dubbed the ‘new Sergio Aguero’.

Dybala has only been playing in Europe for two seasons, and has amassed 15 goals in 69 Palermo appearances following a move from Argentine side Instituto.

Wenger’s current options upfront consist of Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck, neither guaranteeing over 20 league goals per season, meaning the Gunners boss is keeping his eye out for new exciting talent.

A move could be funded by offloading the likes of Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski, who have both struggled for game time at the Emirates this season.

They will however have to face competition from apparent front-runners Borussia Dortmund, who are looking to majorly invest in their side this January to avoid a Bundesliga relegation disaster as they languish near the bottom of the table.

Ultimately it’ll come down to the side who is willing to pay Palermo’s valuation, which is considered to be a pricey £31.4 million.
