Arsenal, Manchester United and Southampton have all been credited with an interest in Dutch international Ron Vlaar, although he isn’t close to signing a new deal and his contract is set to expire in less than 12 months. Villa are insisting on receiving £12 million for the central defender.
Delph has been linked with both Arsenal and Liverpool, he is currently out injured for two months, but the midfielders stock has rose in recent weeks having recieved his first Englang cap after being called up by Roy Hodgson.
Arsenal and Liverpool’s plans for the midfielder could be scuppered though, as Randy Lerner is allegedly ready to offer Delph a new £50,000 per-week contract to stay at Villa Park.
The former Leeds midfielder has said, “I’d love to sign a new deal and am ready to talk but it’s not up to me so we’ll have to see.”
