Arsenal are set to make a £15 million bid for Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic. The 28 year old Croatian striker is thought to be Arsenal’s second choice signing if they fail to get their main target Mario Balotelli. Mandzukic has been told by Bayern that he can leave and has drawn interrest from many clubs, including Chelsea and Inter Milan. However Mandukic would prefer a move to Arsenal.
The Croatian striker, watched by Arsene Wenger, showed his class by scoring two goals in Croatia’s impressive 4-0 win over Cameroon last night. Arsenal are hoping to finalise the deal for either Mario Balotelli or Mario Mandzukic as soon as the world cup finishes.
