The 25-year-old has been one of the stars of the Serie A season so far, and after failing with a bid to sign him last month, the Gunners will push to bring him in over the summer.

Cuadrado, a fast and powerful right winger who can also play as a striker, is part-owned by Fiorentina and their Italian rivals Udinese.

And with the two clubs failing to agree on a package on who have him next season, Arsenal are planning to move in and offer £15million for him.

The money would split equally between the two clubs – and reports from Florence suggest that this deal would be attractive to all parties involved.

Arsene Wenger has been handed extensive scouting reports on Cuadrado from his chief Italian scout Tony Banfield – and the club are now looking into whether the Colombian will be eligible for a UK work permit if a deal is agreed.

Liverpool and Tottenham have also been tracking Cuadrado, who is famed for being able to attack and defend equally well on the flanks.

The former Independiente Medellin star has scored six goals this season, including one which helped Fiorentina to the Coppa Italia final this week.
