Arsenal are said to be monitoring the current contract situation of Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph, reports the Daily Star.
Delph has impressed for Villa so far this season, and his fine performances in centre midfield have won him senior caps for England, with Delph playing a part in the recent games against Norway and Switzerland.
It is thought that Villa are trying to tie him down to a new deal at Villa Park, however talks have since stalled over any proposed new deal at the Birmingham club.
And it has since alerted Arsenal, who are ready to submit a bid for the 24 year old. However the North London club face competition for Delph’s services, wirh fellow Premier League side Everton also keen.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to land the player, with growing concerns over his current midfield options.
