Arsenal are set to open formal talks with Southampton regarding the future of midfielder, Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Gunners, who have signed two players so far this Summer, are close to securing another two in the form of David Ospina, and Schneiderlin’s team-mate, Calum Chambers, and they are now hoping they can come to an agreement for French midfielder, Schneiderlin.
It’s believed The Saints want around £27million for their midfielder, but Arsene Wenger is not prepared to pay that much for the 24-year-old, who he was watching during the World Cup in Brazil.
It’s reported that Arsenal hosted a medical for Chambers on Friday, and are now keen to talk to Southampton once again regarding the future of Schneiderlin, and it’s believed that new manager Ronald Koeman, will talk to his player on Sunday or Monday to discuss his future.
Southampton could lose; Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren, Calum Chambers and Morgan Schneiderlin all in one transfer window.
