Arsenal offer Bacary Sagna three-year deal

Arsenal Football Club have offered right-back Bacary Sagna a new three-year deal hoping that it will be enough to persuade him to stay on at the club.

The Frenchman is out of contract in the Summer and has so far rejected two offers from Arsene Wenger and co., the first being a 12-month extension and the second being a two-year extension.

However, the 31-year-old has been holding out for a three-year deal since Christmas time, and he looks like he has finally got his wish as the club look to fend off interest from Manchester City, Liverpool, Inter Milan and Galatasaray.

Reports have suggested that all mentioned clubs are willing to offer Sagna a three-year contract, and that has now forced Arsenal to match them and offer the Frenchman a three-year deal, which is breaking their club-policy of only offering one-year deals to players over 30.

Speaking in his press conference yesterday, Wenger sounded confident that the club would keep hold of Sagna and with a three-year deal finally being offered, they could wrap up the deal sooner rather than later.
