Arsene Wenger is desperate to complete signing
Arsenal officials have reportedly contacted Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani ahead of a possible move next summer.
The Gunners were in the market for a new striker throughout this summer window, but all their attentions were on Karim Benzema from Real Madrid.
However the Frenchman snubbed a move to the Premier League and stayed put at the Bernabeu, leaving Arsenal and Arsene Wenger empty-handed.
Cavani To Be Added?
Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott are the current options at the Emirates Stadium, but Wenger is still keen on adding another striker to his squad, and it looks like Cavani could be the new target.
According to reports, officials from the North London club are keeping in contact with Cavani and could make a formal move for the Uruguayan next summer.
Cavani’s relationship with Laurent Blanc is still not great after the PSG manager made the Uruguay international play on the wing for the first few seasons he was at the club.
