Arsenal goalkeeper Damian Martinez has revealed that all the players at the club are awaiting the arrival of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez as the transfer saga hots up.

The Uruguayan has made it clear that his future doesn’t lie at Anfield and he has admitted time after time that he doesn’t want to play for The Reds anymore, but the owners and the manager are adamant that the 26-year-old is not for sale.

Both John W Henry and Brendan Rodgers have insisted that Suarez will not be sold to anyone around Europe, especially Arsenal, no matter what fee is offered and no matter what the striker says.

Suarez has been demoted to training by himself at the club so that he doesn’t have any contact with any of the first-team players at Liverpool to prevent him from affecting the mood around the camp just a week before the Premier League campaign begins.

However, on Arsenal’s side, they are all still positive that the signing can be completed and their young goalkeeper has revealed that all the players are waiting for him to sign sooner rather than later.

“We are all waiting for Suarez to join Arsenal,” the 20-year-old Argentine told Goal.com.

“Arsene Wenger wants him more than anybody else. I hope the deal gets done so we can aim at something more than qualifying for the next Champions League.

“Lets see if we can break the bank and bring him in.”
