The midfielder is believed to be eager to move to the Emirates Stadium

Arsenal are planning to test Juventus this month by making a bid for Miralem Pjanic.

According to reports, Arsene Wenger is a big admirer of the midfielder and he is ready to try and test Juventus’ resolve by making an official bid for him this month, to try and lure him to the club.

The player himself would reportedly fancy a move to the Gunners and therefore if a fee can be agreed, then the 26-year old could quickly come to an agreement with the club.

Five-year deal was signed

However, there are a few stumbling blocks over any potential move. Pjanic signed a new five-year deal, meaning that Arsenal would have to fork out more than they would usually have to pay for him to sign the player.

In addition to that, Juventus are extremely reluctant to let him leave because they’ve been turned down by Axel Witsel. The midfielder was expected to make the move to the Serie A but ended up making the move to China instead.

But, Arsenal still intend to test the water by offering the club ÂŁ28m, in the hope that they can agree a deal now and have the Bosnia international for the remainder of the season, as the Gunners look to battle at the top of the Premier League.
