Barcelona’s Pedro has hinted that he could be forced out of the Nou Camp in January, with Arsenal preparing a £26m bid. The Gunners also plan to make a move for Dani Alves, with the two teammates currently failing to impress current boss Luis Enrique.
The Spaniard has found himself falling down in the pecking order behind the likes of Luis Suarez and even youngster Munir El Haddadi. There were teams interested in him in summer but he turned down the chance to move. However, he could now be forced to exit the club in January.
He has himself admitted it will be difficult to break into the first-team, meaning he could end up moving elsewhere, but he has claimed he will continue to try and fight for a starting place. He said:
“The coach is giving me a lot of confidence and he speaks to me even though I’m not getting in the team. I know it’s hard to play at Barcelona, so I will continue to give my all and do well.”
If he does decide to leave La Liga, Arsenal will be ready to sign him up, with a £26m bid already being lined up to try and persuade the forward to move to the Emirates in January.
