Arsenal are reportedly ready to make a new bid for FC Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez, after they failed to sign him during his Liverpool days.
It was well documented that The Gunners tried to lure the Uruguayan to the Emirates Stadium by making a cheeky offer of £40,000,001, which did in fact meet his release clause at the time, however, Liverpool laughed off the bid.
The offer was so surprising that one of Liverpool’s owners tweeted ‘What are they smoking over there at the Emirates’.
However, Suarez did eventually leave Anfield after securing a £75million move to Spanish giants Barcelona, but after spending just a few months there, Arsenal are ready to make a fresh move for the striker in the Summer.
The 28-year-old has only netted five goals in his 16 appearances for the Catalan side, and has fallen down the pecking order under Luis Enrique, who is currently using a front-three of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Pedro.
With the striker struggling for goals in Spain, Arsene Wenger is ready to bring him back to the Premier League if he feels he can get a good deal for him.
