Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to splash the cash once again as he tries to lure Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler to the Emirates Stadium.
It is believed that Wenger will offer the German outfit around £35million for the attacking-midfielder, and the Frenchman is keen to land the 20-year-old, so that he can turn him into a centre-forward, much like he did with Thierry Henry and Robin Van Persie.
When Henry joined Arsenal, he was mainly known as a winger, but we all know what happened when he was converted into a striker, and a similar transition took place for Van Persie, who arrived at the club as an attacking-midfielder, but he left as one of the best strikers in the world.
This is what Wenger has planned for Draxler, if they are successful in their pursuit for the German international.
Despite heavy interest this month, Wenger understands that a potential deal may have to be finalised in the Summer.
