The Borussia Dortmund man has reportedly been in talks with Liverpool over a move to Anfield and even Real Madrid have been keeping tabs on him.
However, Arsenal are now ready to step-in to try and bring the 26-year old to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsene Wenger has been told he has a whopping £200m transfer budget and he plans to make the most of it by splashing out up to £47m to try and sign Reus.
The German international has been lighting up the Bundesliga for Dortmund and has been gathering a lot of interest from several European teams. The Reds were leading the race to sign him, as club and player were reportedly in talks.
But it now looks as if Arsenal could snatch the striker from under Brendan Rodger’s nose and a deal to bring him to England may finally be completed by Arsene Wenger.
