Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to splash the cash once again in order to sign one of La Liga’s hottest properties, Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa.
It was back in the Summer when Wenger surprised everyone by signing Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil for just over £40million, and it appears that he is ready to spend bid in order to sign yet another La Liga sensation.
Costa, who has been in superb form for Atletico this season, has a £32m release clause in his contract, and it is believed that Wenger is ready to meet that in order to strengthen his attacking options.
For the majority of the season, Arsenal have had to rely on Olivier Giroud on his own, with both Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott missing over two months due to injuries.
However, now it is Giroud who is injured and he has also been joined by Nicklas Bendtner on that injury list.
19 goals in just 17 appearances has seen Costa rise as one of Europe’s deadliest strikers and also one of Europe’s hottest properties.
