Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky set for summer exits

Arsenal will ditch midfield-trio Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky over the summer despite the lack of options in the centre of the park.

The Gunners are currently suffering from serious injury problems, with Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin both sidelined until next year, but that won’t stop Arsene Wenger from making mass changes over the summer.

Flamini has been in stand-in due to the injuries sustained to Cazorla and Coquelin, but that won’t see him keep his place in the Arsenal squad ahead of next season.

The Frenchman returned to Arsenal for a second-stint back in 2013, and although he’s never lost a Premier League game at the Emirates Stadium, that record won’t be enough to see him offered a new deal.

Trio Set for Cut

As well as Flamini, Arsenal will offload ageing Arteta and Rosicky, who have both been sidelined for the majority of the season through injury.

The trio won’t be offered new deals in North London and will become free agents over the summer.

With three likely to move, it looks almost guaranteed that Wenger will add new faces for midfield next season.
