Arsenal are ready to meet Loic Remy’s release clause of £10million this Summer.

The Gunners are keen on adding depth to their attacking options after heavily relying on Olivier Giroud last season, and with AC Milan’s Mario Balotelli linked in a £25m move, Queens Park Rangers striker, Loic Remy, could also be set to join.

The French forward has a £10m release clause in his contract, and despite his parent club gaining promotion to the Premier League, Remy is desperate to play Champions League football, and it’s Arsenal who are leading the line.

Remy, who spent last season on-loan at Newcastle United, impressed Arsene Wenger throughout the campaign, and many people have suggested he could become the clubs new Thierry Henry.

According to a Marseille insider, Wenger has called up the French club and asked about their former-player.

A Marseille insider said: “Arsene rang our chairman. He seemed to be more interested in what kind of person Loic is. He didn’t give any trouble in the three years he was here.”
