Arsenal are reported to have sealed the arrival of striker Josip Drmic from Nuremberg, according to Sky Germany. The news of this signing is now being relayed all over Twitter after it was broken by Lothar Matthaus.

The youngster has managed to bag 15 goals in 26 games this term, and he has been constantly linked with moves to the Emirates for the past few days. It now appears a move is done.

The 21-year-old only joined Nuremberg last summer from FC Zurich but his performances and goals have impressed and caught the eye of several teams. On Twitter the news began with Jan Aage Fjotoft, formerly a forward for Swindon and Middlesbrough. He claimed:

“My Sky colleague Lothar Matthaus has just said on Sky: Drmic’s wife has been looking for an apartment in London. Drmic will be Arsenal-player. Josip Drmic is the Swiss-striker at Nurnberg. 15 goals so far. 47 per cent of all Nurnberg goals. Matthaus: – Will be Arsenal-player.”
