This will come as a huge blow for Manchester United as they were looking to sign him in the summer.
Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Mesut Ozil will not be leaving the club this month. This is a sign of relief for the Gunners as Alexis Sanchez is on the move to the Old Trafford.
According to reports, Ozil is ready to snub Manchster United and is set sign a new contract with the Gunners.
Ozil has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United. Reports have claimed that Jose Mourinho‘s side would prefer to sign the midfielder as a free agent.

“Mesut loves it here. He loves living in London and has made it clear he wants to stay,” a source at Arsenal told The Sun.
‘They’ve [Ozil and Jack Wilshere] both got the contracts on the table and there’s not much else to iron out really. They should be all sorted soon.”
Ozil is looking for a significant rise on his current £150,000-a-week salary package but Arsenal have now reportedly reached an agreement with the 29-year-old.
