Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain not impressed manager
Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is not happy with Arsene Wenger, according to reports.
The England international has had another struggling season for the Gunners, which has been hampered with injuries and a lack of form throughout.
Chamberlain scored on Sunday to give Arsenal a 2-0 win against AFC Bournemouth, which was his first ever away goal for the Premier League club.
However, due to injuries and a lack of form, Chamberlain’s position in the first-team has come under questioning and this season he has seen the likes of Joel Campbell move ahead of him in the pecking order.
The 22-year-old started the season positively, by scoring in the Community Shield against Chelsea, but he has since stalled and has struggled to make an impact in the first-team.
According to reports, Chamberlain is fearing he could miss out on a Euro 2016 place should he game-time not increase, and he’s also considering his long-term future as he is unsure where he fits into Wenger‘s plans.
Despite the fears from the player, Wenger sung his praises in recent weeks and remains a huge admirer of the 22-year-old.
He said: “He has huge talent.
“He works very hard now and is focused. I felt he was a bit tired in the second half and could not sustain the level he had in the first half completely, but with his power and technique I expect him to score goals.”
