The Gunners are on the hunt for an Alexis Sanchez replacement
Arsenal have made a HUGE £92m bid for Thomas Lemar on Transfer Deadline Day.
According to reports, the Gunners have decided to make this huge offer to convince Monaco to part ways with the player, as they look for someone to replace the outgoing Alexis Sanchez.
The Chile international has been the subject of a new bid from Man City, which is worth around £60m in total (as we reported earlier here).
With the player himself apparently wanting out of the club and with City upping their offer, now could be the time to cash-in on him.
However, Arsenal would most definitely need a replacement for the former Barcelona man and that appears to be coming in the form of Thomas Lemar.
Previous bids were rejected
The Gunners have been interested in signing the Monaco man throughout the window but their previous bids were rejected, with the Ligue 1 side adamant that they wouldn’t be letting him leave the club.
They’ve also been keeping an eye on Julian Draxler (see the full story here) who was seen as another potential Sanchez replacement.
Liverpool have also registered an interest in Lemar but they too had their bid turned down. However, Arsenal have made a fresh bid for the player and it’s a huge offer of £92m at that.
With such a huge amount of money on the table it could finally tempt Monaco to part ways with the forward.
