Arsenal Football Club have announced that they have taking action on one of their youth coaches after they tweeted about putting a bet on Mesut Ozil joining the club on transfer deadline day, which he later did.
Mark Arber, who is a former player, currently works as a youth coach at the club and took to social networking site Twitter to announce that he won his bet about German international Ozil joining the club on transfer deadline day.
A message was posted on Twitter which read: “Lovely bit of 14-1 Mesut.”
Since then, the football club have made the following statement.
“Following an investigation we have taken appropriate action in relation to a casual worker,” read a statement.
It added: “We take this very seriously. All Arsenal employees and workers are well aware of their responsibilities in this respect.”
