Arsenal have added Barcelona duo Alexis Sanchez and Pedro to their list of Transfer targets – but they won’t make a move for them until they have signed a defensive midfielder and striker. The Gunners are looking to strengthen their squad, after they saw a push for the Prem title fall flat at the turn of the year.
Arsene Wenger would be interested in signing Sanchez and Pedro from Barca but only if they are available for a reasonable price. 25-year old Sanchez is aware that his days at the Catalan giants are numbered, especially with the Spanish side planning for a clear-out of players which includes him, as previously reported by sillyseason.
He would be willing to swap La Liga for the Prem and could be bought for around £20m. The Chilean would suit Arsenal’s style but the Gunners would face competition from Juventus for his signature.
As for Pedro, he could be another option for Arsene Wenger, with the Arsenal manager trying to bolster a strikeforce that has been misfiring at times this season. The Spaniard has bagged 16 goals for Barca so far this season and he could be just what they are looking for.
