Arsenal will reportedly make an offer to lure Pep Guardiola to the club once Arsene Wenger steps down from his managerial duties.

Over the last few weeks, The Gunners have been working behind the scenes to find a suitable replacement for when the Frenchman does decide to call it a day, which is expected to take place in the next few years.

Wenger, who has been at the club for 17-years now, has recently signed a new three-year deal, but it’s believed that the club could find a replacement in 2016, with Guardiola now a serious option after being added to the list.

As well as the Bayern Munich manager, the Arsenal board are keen on talking to Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, and also Madrid’s assistant, Paul Clement.

Guardiola has already hinted at a Premier League move in the future, but was discussing Manchester United rather than Arsenal, but he has heaped praise upon the North London outfit for several years now, praising the way they play football.

It’s believed that Wenger will take a step back and go into a directors role at the club.
