Norwich City’s highly rated midfielder James Maddison has emerged as one of the country’s most promising talents after impressing  this season en route to being named in the PFA Championship team of the year.

The 21 year old, who has scored 15 goals for Norwich this term, including a hat-trick in a 4-3 win at Hull City last month, is valued at around £25 million and is attracting interest from a host of top flight clubs.

The attacking midfielder is being pursued by six Premier League clubs, reports The Telegraph. 

Arsenal, Manchester City,Tottenham, Everton are seriously considering a move for Maddison this summer as they plan to bolster their squad next summer. Southampton and Brighton are also known to have interest in him but their prospects could be damaged if either club suffer relegation to the Championship this season.

The player wants to join a team where he has a realistic chance of regular first team football.

Norwich wants to keep hold of their for next season club have missed out on a play-off spot that could keep make it harder to keep hold of him while the prospect of clubs entering a bidding war for the player could tempt Norwich to cash in.

Maddison joined Norwich from Coventry in February 2016. He signed a new contract with Norwich City last June which will expire on 2021.
