The Gunners will make Chelsea star their highest paid goalkeeper ever

Arsenal are set to break another one of their own transfer records by making Petr Cech their highest paid goalkeeper of all-time.

According to reports, if The Gunners can get the deal over the line for the Chelsea shot-stopper, they will offer him a contract worth around £100k-a-week.

Cech to Arsenal

It’s looking more and more likely that the 33-year-old will complete a switch from Stamford Bridge to the Emirates Stadium, in a deal worth around £10million.

Despite Jose Mourinho not wanting to sell to a direct rival, it’s believed Roman Abramovich has stepped in and told Cech he can choose his next move due to his loyal services shown to the club.

Cech has always wanted to remain in London as he doesn’t want to relocate his settled family, meaning Arsenal have always been favourites.

Record Breaker

The Gunners are desperate to sign the veteran and in doing so, will offer him a record breaking deal worth £100k-a-week, meaning he will become Arsenal’s highest ever paid goalkeeper.

Previous ‘keepers like David Seaman, Jens Lehmann and Manuel Almunia didn’t reach the six-figure salary mark and neither have Wojciech Szczesny or David Ospina.
