Arsene Wenger is set to bid around £5 million for Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
Reina is all set to leave Anfield this summer having been told that he has no future at Liverpool.
The Spanish international goalkeeper, who is in Brazil with the national squad ahead of the World Cup finals, spent last season at Serie A side Napoli, managed by former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez.
Reina stated recently that he is open to a move away from Liverpool, with Belgium keeper Simon Mignolet the established number one at the Merseyside club.
Benitez recently admitted that Napoli could not stump up the fund to take Reina to Naples on a permanent basis.
So Arsene Wenger is set to offer the out of favour keepe a Premiership life-line by offering Liverpool the sum of money.
Reina has been linked with both Barcelona and Real Madrid in previous weeks.
