Arsenal to make £3m Reid bid

Arsenal are set to launch a bid for West Ham United defender, Winston Reid, this month as they look to bulster up their backline.

The New Zealand centre-back is set to leave Upton Park in the Summer once his contract expires, with Sam Allardyce confirming that a new deal isn’t in place for the defender, but Arsenal are keen on striking a deal this month.

Due to Reid’s contract expiring in six months, Arsenal are only willing to offer £3million for the 26-year-old.

It’s reported that Arsene Wenger will offer Reid a four-year deal worth around £60k-a-week, but it’s not yet understood whether West Ham will accept a £3m bid for one of their defensive stars, despite the fact they could lose him for nothing over the Summer.

Manchester United have also shown interest in The Hammers centre-back.
