Schalke playmaker Julian Draxler can leave the Bundesliga club for just £17.5million, confirms his agent.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the German giants this summer and is keen on a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal being the favourites to sign the attacking midfielder.
The Germany international has been on the Gunners’ radar for the past two seasons, but Serie A side Juventus are chasing the youngster’s signature.
Schalke have recently admitted that they have allowed the Italian giants to speak to their academy product and his representatives to negotiate personal terms and proceed into advanced talks.
Draxler’s agent reckons he could be easily tempted to join Arsenal for £17.5million, despite the German giants wanting at least £21million for his services.
However, his agent Roger Wittmann told Tuttosport. “It’s true, we’re talking with Juventus.
“I think a deal could be concluded for €25m (£17.5m). His release clause (£31.5m) is no longer applicable after June 30, and that will also apply for the next two seasons.” he added.
